2024 Construction Information and taxi routes (Reference Taxi Maps below)

Phase 1

  • 50 working days (not calendar days)
  • Longest of the 3 Phases
  • RWY 1L/19R Closed as well as TWY A abeam TLN DD to the south closed
  • Building of new TWY H and A2 as well as building the new TWY A3 straight across from TWY J and removing the excess pavement on the north side of A1
  • Hotspot will be at the TWY A, A2, A3 intersection
  • TWY A starting at TXL DD and south will be one in one out due to TWY A closure
  • RWY 13/31 will be open for the duration of this phase however, due to extreme complexity, it will not be advertised as the RWY in use, and will only be usable on a case-by-case basis for arrivals and departures (i.e., taildraggers during high crosswind scenarios)
  • During North Flow, if a ramp run up is not completed, the runup are for RWY 31 will be used

 

Phase 2

  • 5 working days
  • RWY 1L/19R and RWY 13/31 closed as well as TWY A North of the new TWY A3 to A4 closed
  • Removing the old TWY A2
  • Hotspot at the new TWY A3 and A due to one in one out from TLN DD north to Christiansen Jet Center
  • If ramp runup is not completed on the west side during south flow, runups will be done at the 1L runup area
  • All arrivals parking on the west side will transition via TWY J to the new TWY A3

 

Phase 3

  • 10 working days
  • RWY 13/31 closed
  • Both RWY 1L/19R and RWY 1R/19L will be open
  • Removing the old TWY A3
  • TWY A North of the new TWY A3 to A4 closed
  • Hotspot at the new TWY A3 and A due to one in one out from TLN DD north to Christiansen Jet Center
  • If ramp runup is not completed on the west side during south flow, runups will be done at the 1L runup area
  • All arrivals parking on the west side will transition via TWY J to the new TWY A3
